  • 2 bunches Collard Greens Washed and chopped
Meat
  • 1 lb Smoked Ham Hock
Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes Optional for heat
Liquid
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the smoked ham hock and cook until browned.
  3. Add the collard greens, chicken broth, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 60 minutes.
