Ingredients
  

Chickpeas
  • 2 cups dried chickpeas soaked overnight
  • 1 cup tahini
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Soak the chickpeas overnight in water.
  2. Drain and rinse the chickpeas, then cook them in a pot of boiling water until tender, about 30 minutes.
  3. In a blender, combine the cooked chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, cumin, paprika, and salt.
  4. Blend until smooth, adding water as necessary to achieve desired consistency.
  5. Serve warm or at room temperature, garnished with additional paprika if desired.
