Ingredients
  

Green Beans
  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Trim the ends of the green beans and blanch them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes until bright green.
  2. Drain the green beans and immediately transfer them to an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
  3. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and add the sliced almonds, cooking until golden brown.
  4. Add the blanched green beans to the skillet, toss to coat, and season with lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  5. Serve warm as a side dish.
