Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup brown butter melted and cooled
  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Add-ins
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the brown butter, sourdough discard, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  3. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
