Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large ripe mangoes (about 500g)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (about 300g)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 15ml)

Instructions

  1. Wash and prepare the mangoes by peeling and cubing them; remove stems from strawberries.
  2. Blend mango cubes in one bowl until smooth; blend strawberries in another bowl until smooth. Sweeten each with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  3. Stir in one tablespoon of lemon juice into each fruit puree for added brightness.
  4. On parchment-lined baking sheets, alternate spoonfuls of mango and strawberry purees. Use a skewer to swirl them together for a tie-dye effect.
  5. Preheat oven to its lowest setting (about 140°F or 60°C) and dry out the fruit leathers for 6-8 hours until firm but slightly tacky.
  6. Let cool completely before cutting into strips; store in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerate for extra chewiness.
