  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat and stir in taco seasoning with a splash of water; cook until well combined.
  3. On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into skull shapes using cookie cutters.
  4. Place a tablespoon of beef filling on one half of each skull shape, sprinkle with cheese, then fold over the other half.
  5. Press edges to seal and brush each skull with olive oil for a golden finish.
  6. Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden.
