Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (5 oz) can solid white tuna in water, drained
  • 2 cups shredded green cabbage (or mix with red cabbage)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried herbs (like dill or parsley)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Drain the canned tuna and chop the green onions. In a large bowl, mix together the tuna, shredded cabbage, green onions, eggs, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and herbs until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into patties about 1 inch thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook each patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Transfer cooked patties to paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve warm with dipping sauces like tartar sauce or sour cream.
