  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
  2. Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the marinade over them. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Remove salmon from marinade and place skin-side down on the baking sheet; brush with remaining marinade. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
  5. For extra glaze, broil for the last couple of minutes. Serve garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
