  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  2. In a bowl, combine chopped dates and baking soda. Pour hot water over them and let soak.

  4. Gradually mix in flour until smooth, then fold in soaked dates along with any remaining liquid from the bowl.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared dish and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. For the sauce, combine heavy cream, brown sugar, and butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until melted and bubbly.
