Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (chopped)
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 sheets puff pastry (thawed)
  • 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling by sautéing finely chopped onion in oil over medium heat until translucent. Add minced garlic and grated ginger; cook until fragrant.
  2. Stir in the chopped chicken along with cumin, coriander, garam masala, salt, and pepper. Cook until the chicken is no longer pink, about 8–10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares or circles. Place a spoonful of cooled chicken mixture in the center of each piece, fold over to form triangles or half-moons, and seal edges with a fork.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan until shimmering (about 350°F). Fry the samosas in batches until golden brown on each side, about 3–4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
