  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 cups whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells in boiling salted water until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat and mix in ricotta cheese, salt, pepper, and chopped basil.
  4. Carefully fill each cooked shell with the meat-and-cheese mixture and place them in a greased baking dish.
  5. Cover the stuffed shells generously with marinara sauce and sprinkle grated Parmesan on top.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5 minutes until bubbly and golden.
