Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) red velvet cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 cup cream cheese frosting (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • Optional: cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine red velvet cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water until smooth. Pour into a greased baking dish and bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Allow the cake to cool completely. Crumble it into fine pieces in a large bowl.
  3. Mix half of the cream cheese frosting into the crumbled cake until well combined.
  4. Roll tablespoon-sized portions into balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill in the fridge for at least one hour.
  5. Melt white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth, stirring every 30 seconds.
  6. Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate until fully coated. Optionally, dust with cocoa powder before placing back on parchment paper to set.
