  • 1 sheet puff pastry (about 250g)
  • 3 medium ripe pears (approximately 450g), peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (100g)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 egg mixed with 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Cut the pastry into squares or circles, about 4 inches wide.
  4. Toss sliced pears with brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl until evenly coated.
  5. Place a spoonful of pear filling in the center of each pastry piece. Fold edges if desired.
  6. Brush each tart with egg wash for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and tender. Serve warm.
