Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour (500g)
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2¼ tsp)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar (100g)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, softened (85g)
  • 1 cup warm milk (240ml)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup Nutella (280g)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. In another bowl, whisk warm milk and eggs before adding butter. Gradually mix wet ingredients into dry until a sticky dough forms.
  2. Knead on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle on parchment paper and spread Nutella evenly on top. Roll tightly from one long side to form a log.
  5. Slice the log lengthwise and twist both halves together. Tuck the ends under to seal.
  6. Place the twisted dough into a greased loaf pan and let it rise for another 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for about 35 minutes or until golden brown.
