  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 28 oz canned crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, and Parmesan cheese; mix until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and arrange them on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  5. While meatballs bake, heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add crushed tomatoes, salt, and pepper; simmer for about 10 minutes.
