  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy. Mix in maple syrup until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just blended.
  6. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Sprinkle additional cinnamon sugar on top if desired.
  7. Bake for about 10 minutes or until edges are golden brown but centers remain soft.
