Ingredients

  • 2 cans (15 oz each) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp cumin (optional)
  • Water as needed for consistency

Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas under cold water to remove excess salt.
  2. In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, salt, and cumin. Pulse until blended.
  3. Gradually add cold water one tablespoon at a time until the desired creamy texture is achieved.
