  • 20 gyoza wrappers
  • 1 cup ground pork (or chicken/tofu)
  • 1 cup finely chopped napa cabbage
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce (for dipping)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar (for dipping)
  • Chili oil for added spice (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground pork, chopped cabbage, green onions, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Place about one tablespoon of filling in the center of each gyoza wrapper. Moisten edges with water and fold over to seal.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add gyoza and cook until golden brown on one side (about 2 minutes).
  4. Pour in 1/2 cup water, cover with a lid, and steam for approximately 5 minutes until fully cooked.
  5. For the dipping sauce, whisk together soy sauce and rice vinegar; add chili oil if desired.
  6. Serve gyoza hot with dipping sauce on the side.
