  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar mixed with 1 tbsp ground cinnamon for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients into the butter mixture until just mixed.
  5. Roll dough into balls about one inch in diameter and coat in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  6. Place on prepared baking sheets two inches apart and bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden but centers are slightly underbaked.
  7. Cool on wire racks before serving.
