  • 4 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • Food coloring (various colors)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with colorful liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat sugar, eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Spoon the batter into liners about two-thirds full and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow cupcakes to cool completely on wire racks before frosting.
