  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (1.5 lbs)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 4 pita breads
  • 1 medium cucumber, grated
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon dried dill
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add chicken breasts and marinate for at least one hour or overnight.
  2. In another bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, minced garlic, dill, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Heat the grill to medium-high (around 400°F).
  4. Cook marinated chicken for about 6-8 minutes on each side until browned and internal temperature reaches at least 165°F.
  5. Let chicken rest before slicing thinly. Warm pita bread on the grill if desired.
  6. Fill pita with sliced chicken, fresh veggies like lettuce and tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce.
