  • 8 sheets phyllo dough
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup ground nuts (pistachios or walnuts)
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup additional chopped nuts (pistachios or walnuts)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a springform pan.
  2. Layer six sheets of phyllo dough in the pan, brushing each with melted butter and sprinkling ground nuts between layers.
  3. In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sour cream, sugar, eggs (one at a time), honey, and cinnamon; blend until creamy.
  4. Pour half the cheesecake mixture over the phyllo crust. Sprinkle remaining ground nuts on top and add the rest of the filling.
  5. Cover with additional phyllo sheets brushed with butter and bake for about one hour or until set.
  6. Let cool completely before removing from the pan. Top with chopped nuts and drizzle with honey before serving.
