  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter until fluffy. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until well combined.

  5. Gently fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto the baking sheet, spacing them about two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
