  • 1 package refrigerated pie crust (2 crusts)
  • 3 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Water (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine chopped apples, sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter.
  3. Roll out the pie crust on a floured surface and cut it into circles about 4 inches in diameter.
  4. Place a spoonful of apple mixture in the center of each circle. Fold over and pinch edges to seal.
  5. Mix the beaten egg with a splash of water for the egg wash; brush it over the tops of the bombs.
  6. Bake on a lined baking sheet for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
