  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat; allow to cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in cocoa powder.
  4. In another bowl, sift flour and salt together. Gradually fold this mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined; gently fold in half of the raspberries.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and top with remaining raspberries.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs. Allow cooling before slicing.
