Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup dry Marsala wine
  • 8 oz fresh button mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients by chopping garlic and slicing mushrooms.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then sear for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and cook until tender (about 5 minutes). Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in Marsala wine and chicken broth, scraping the pan to incorporate flavors. Let simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return the seared chicken to the pan, coating it in the sauce, and allow it to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Serve Chicken Marsala on plates or a platter, drizzling with sauce alongside pasta or mashed potatoes.
