  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Sugar sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space in between each ball.
  6. Top each cookie with sugar sprinkles before baking for about 10–12 minutes until slightly set but still soft in the center.
  7. Allow cooling on a wire rack before enjoying.
