Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tilapia fillets (approximately 6 oz each)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by gathering all ingredients and tools including a frying pan, plates for breading, and a spatula.
  2. Set up your breading station: In one bowl, combine flour with salt and pepper; in another, beat the eggs; place breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  3. Dredge each tilapia fillet: coat in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then roll in breadcrumbs until fully covered.
  4. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  5. Fry each fillet for about 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through; do not overcrowd the pan.
  6. Transfer the cooked fillets to paper towels to drain excess oil and serve with fresh lemon wedges.
