  • 1 can (12 oz) solid white tuna in water, drained
  • 8 oz wide egg noodles
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine drained tuna, cooked egg noodles, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix well.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with remaining cheddar cheese and sprinkle breadcrumbs evenly over the top.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Let it cool slightly before cutting into portions. Heat oil in a deep fryer or pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry portions until golden brown on each side (about 2 minutes).
  6. Drain on paper towels and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
