Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (6 oz) salmon fillets
  • 1 bunch (8 oz) asparagus, trimmed
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse salmon fillets under cold water and pat dry. Trim tough ends off the asparagus.
  2. 2. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, honey, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to create the sauce.
  3. 3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook salmon skin-side down for about 4 minutes until golden.
  4. 4. Add asparagus around the salmon and pour half of the sauce over everything.
  5. 5. Flip the salmon after 4 minutes and cook for another 3 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Asparagus should be bright green yet crisp.
  6. 6. Serve immediately with remaining sauce drizzled on top.
